My name is Balazs Kiraly, I am a Hungarian university student studying computer science. In 2024, my then-girlfriend repeatedly complained that her iCloud storage was full, and her phone’s internal memory was also running out. I regularly helped her back up her photos to a computer, since deleting images directly from her phone’s gallery was a cumbersome, time‑consuming process. The photos would be safe on a computer, but among them were photos that had brought a smile to her face on even the gloomiest days.
One time while saving these photos, I thought how great it would be to have an app that lets you easily—and in a fun way—delete one-time-use screenshots or any images you no longer need, especially since such photos can take up nearly half the gallery.
A few months passed, my girlfriend and I broke up, and I completely forgot about the idea. Then I received the dreaded “iCloud is full” message. In my spare time, between 1 and 3 AM, I started deleting images manually, but after two days, I realized this would take far too long. I remembered the forgotten idea, and the next day—on May 8, 2025—I began developing the app. I had never built an iOS app before, and that was the first time I opened the development environment.
